Sacha Inchi is a nut, the crops are obtained from small Colombian farmers known as Family Agricultural Units (FAUs). Many of them suffered during the country's internal armed conflict and are now our main strategic allies and suppliers.
The United Nations recognizes Sustainable Development as a Global Goal. All suppliers and customers must share our commitment to conducting business transparently, working under social and environmental responsibility, and thus generating value, taking into account global challenges that include climate change, population growth, food insecurity, land degradation, and economic recovery.
Some ethnic communities, farmers, social leaders, and other residents have been affected by the internal armed conflict for years. They want a peaceful life, to farm in peace, and to always find someone to buy their products at fair prices for all. Some of them already act as our suppliers or are strategic allies for generating mutual progress, or simply interact with us and benefit from our actions and projects.
With all of them and with our clients, we seek to build trust through transparent dialogue, shared social and environmental commitments, and mutual support.
Our commitment is not to use pesticides on the crops of Sacha Inchi. Our products must contain between 92% and 99.5% natural ingredients.
With Family Agricultural Units (UAF), i.e., farming families, we have greater control over the crop, generate more employment, and reduce pressure on natural resources.
